Welcome to Week 2 of Pumped with Tasha! Fitness is a Lifetime Pursuit
Good morning FB Family!
We’re kicking off week 2 of Pumped with Tasha the same way we started week 1 – lower body strength and core:
Lower Body Hypertrophy and Strength
Similar to the Day 1 workout, we blend submaximal strength with hypertrophy (slightly higher reps and less recovery) for a comprehensive leg day routine. Unlike Day 1, today you’ll only focus on one exercise for each of the strength segments, giving you an opportunity to experiment with your heaviest weight loads of the challenge thus far. We end the workout with some lower body burnout hypertrophy work as well as a core finisher (because why not?).
Let’s take a quick look at the breakdown of week 2 (spoiler alert: it looks a lot like week 1):
Week 2 mirrors most of the focus and formatting from week 1 with just a few structural variations to bump up the intensity. Take additional rest days throughout the challenge as needed (you know your body best!) but also know that the muscle soreness and overall fatigue are totally normal throughout a physically demanding challenge such as this one.
Something to remember as you make your way through this final week of training is that fitness is a lifetime pursuit. These two weeks of training are a blip on the map compared to the global picture of your training across your lifespan. If you need to skip workouts, add in rest days, and/or your performance isn’t where you’d like it to be, this challenge is not the end-all-be-all to your fitness journey. Repeat it. Try other challenges. Experiment with different forms of movement. Just stay consistent and curious with how you choose to move your body.
Which workouts are you most excited for this week? “None” is an answer, I won’t be offended, haha (but hopefully it’s not your answer).
