    Overview

    All you need for this Pilates routine is an optional exercise mat; other than that, you've got a 100% free Pilates workout video that you can do anytime you like, in your own living room or bedroom or backyard or whereever you have a bit of space.



    This is a very low impact (virtually no impact) routine that focuses on strengthening, toning, and shaping the butt, thighs, abs, and lower back. This is a great routine for beginner to intermediate exercisers, and it's also a great recovery workout or method to target the core muscles for more advanced exercisers. In fact, a lot of the exercises in this Pilates routine are great for strengthening your core, helping to ensure that you're able to safely push yourself through more intense HIIT and strength training routines.

    There is no warm up or cool down in this particular workout video. You don't need an intense or extensive version of either, but doing at least a small amount of light cardio before starting, and some extra stretches when you're finished is ideal.

    This routine is light enough that you can do it as often as you like, as long as those same muscles aren't sore from a previous workout. Make sure to pair your lower body and abs workouts with a clean and healthy diet in order to get the best results.
