From HIIT to Weights

So I am currently repeating FB Booty R2 and there are many days where there are 15 min HIIT workouts followed by 15 min Strength workouts. For those of you that have done with program or train this way, I was wondering how long of a rest do you take between the HIIT and the strength or how long should you take? I have been taking 5 min or less but I have noticed that taking a short rest has made me lift lighter, but I also do not want to take too long of a rest where I may have to do a warm up again. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!
