Cardio and Strength Training

Hello all. I was setting up tonights workout routine and it is a lower body day. I am planning on doing strength training first and then cardio. My question is if I am doing the lower body strength workout first, does my cardio workout have to be a lower body too or can I choose total body? Sorry if that sounds to obvious of question but I feel like I still don't know too much about setting up workout routines. :/ Your inputs would be greatly appreciated. :) Thanks in advance.
