Leg workout then biking

Hi all! First ever post here, but looking for some advice...

I usually do 2 or 3 leg workouts per week (started a few months back). I want to bike as well and we have three nice routes that are 10, 13 and 18 miles. Question is...If I do a lower body workout, say, on a Monday, could I go for a decent ride the next day while my legs are still sore? Or should I wait a day or two? Don't want to over train but I'd like to build my legs a little bit too.
