Program Or Independent Workout?

I am ready to get started on one of the 8 week programs, but I have a trip planned that will take place on a Friday through Monday. If I were to do the 8 week program starting next Monday, but then 2 weeks later can't do Friday or Monday, will that mess up the workouts? Or should I just wait until I return from the trip and start fresh the following week? Have not done one of the extended programs yet. Thanks in advance!
