I am getting bigger when I want to slim down

Hi!

I've been using the fitness blender videos for a while, but this is the first time that I have followed one of the workout plans to completion (FB Fit), and it is also the first time I have really done a lot of strength training ever. I was pretty focused on cardio and Pilates and such before doing this program. I was hoping to slim down but I find myself getting slightly bigger and having a harder time fitting into my clothes since I started this program. Am I just doing the wrong kinds of workouts? I am eating a relatively balanced diet, though I am sure it's not perfect. I am just kind of at a loss at this point and any advice would be much appreciated!
