I’ve noticed that when the new trainers (when do we stop calling them “new”?) 😂 create their own programs, they make all the videos specifically for that program, which means that unless I do that program again, I will never come across it again.
Previously the videos felt more of a mix and match situation, where the same video might be used in 2-3 different programs, and it was nice to come across something familiar once in a while.
I’ve noticed this because I add my own notes on every single video that I complete and refer back to them if I come across it again. There are lots where I’ve said “Not for my favourites, but will be good to do it again if it comes up in another program” (and some of these have subsequently become my favourites). With these new programs, I will likely never see these videos again, because there’s no way a video where the trainer says “Welcome to day three of my such and such program” can later become day 12 of another program.
I know all of them can be used as stand alone videos, but on the rare ocassions when I do add my own choice of a workout to my calendar rather than follow a program, I select something from my many favourites, and if it’s not there, I’ll never do it again.
I wonder why that is the case. Do you think it’s a conscious choice from the trainers?
All programs have unique videos now
