Bad form or weak muscles?

This is probably a better question for an in-person trainer who can watch my form and correct me, but I thought I'd ask here to begin with.

How can I tell the difference between my muscles hurting during a workout because they're weak and I'm pushing them in a safe way, and when my form is bad and I'm risking injury?

My biggest concern is my low back while I'm doing Romanian deadlifts. I don't lift a super heavy amount for my strength (usually 30 lb total, while I squat with 30-36 lb total). After a few reps, I always start to feel a tightness in my lower back. After multiple sets, even if I drop down to 24 or 18 lb, it can start to feel painful. Because it's tightness in my lower back, I'm really worried that it's bad pain that I should avoid, not the good "burn" pain that I should push through.

I'm not really looking for form correction here, since none of you can see me lol, but more a general guidance in what kind of warning signals to look out for. I do have a large mirror in my space that I'm able to use to check my form, and I *think* it's good. But I do always feel deadlifts more in my back and abs than I do in my hamstrings, glutes, or quads. So it's probably likely that my form is off and the pain I feel is a red flag, right?
