New Workout: Upper Body and Core Strength

Hello!

I hope you are having a great day so far and are ready for my newest routine.

Upper Body and Core Strength

This 36-minute workout is well-balanced and designed to increase strength, stability, and body awareness. There are 20 exercises with no repeats, and a warm-up and cool-down are included. The first segment of 10 exercises focuses on your shoulders, biceps, and triceps. The second segment is all core strength and stability.

The great thing about combining core with upper-body strength, as opposed to lower body or cardio, is that a strong core supports pushing, pulling, and lifting movements, and training both together helps you build strength faster and with greater total muscle engagement. It also supports better posture and movement control, since your core helps stabilize your spine while your upper-body muscles do the work.

What do you prefer to combine core strength with?

Thanks for working out with me!

P.S. and completely unrelated… It’s SUMMER! Do you have any special trips planned? Any goals you want to achieve before Labor Day? Any yummy recipes to share for the next backyard BBQ?

Despite summers looking very different for me now than they did in childhood, I still try to find fun ways to enjoy the season before it gets too hot and I end up staying indoors in the A/C. My favorite childhood memory from summertime is going to Myrtle Beach, SC, for a family vacation. We would pack up the minivan and hit the road for a week of fun in the sun at the beach! As a kid from southern Ohio, it was heaven. Do you have any fun summertime childhood memories? I would love to hear them :)
