Weekend Workout Rewind ⏪

Have you had a chance to try Kelli’s At Home Walking Workout—Beginner to Advanced? If not, consider this the nudge you need to give it a go!

You won’t need any equipment at all for this at home walking workout, but you can definitely step up the challenge by adding resistance bands or holding onto weights. In fact, this highly scalable workout can be as beginner friendly or advanced as you need it to be. 

Instead of repeating thousands of identical “steps” or strides in a row, we’ll be using all of the planes of movement and many different functional ranges of motion. We won’t have the added benefit of a walk in terms of changing scenery to look at or quick smiles at passersby, but you can get all of this done while standing in your own living room (which can be helpful if you don’t have a safe space to walk, need to exercise at strange hours, or are dealing with inclement weather). 

We start off with light warm-up intervals that gradually increase in intensity and demand. All intervals are 45 seconds active, with 15 seconds rest. No equipment necessary, but this workout can be made more challenging with resistance bands, dumbbells, a weighted vest, etc. Cool down is included.
