Creator Check-In! A Peek Inside My Brain + Trainer Series Power Bundle

Good morning FB Family!

It’s officially fall where I’m located but the temperature, humidity level, and dew point are all still holding onto summer. I’ve broken out my autumn-colored coffee mugs, sweaters, and hoodies to manifest cooler temps; however, I’m still working out in shorts, tank tops, and an unnatural amount of lubricants to prevent chafing. When did armpit chafe become a thing? Fall has decided to take its time arriving to my area and I’m less than patient about it, haha.

Other than complaining about the weather, what have I been up to? Plenty! I’m waking up before the sun and training for a half marathon with a local training team (and my sister!). I love training for this distance because it’s a huge mental challenge for me and I get to connect with (or torment…depends on your perspective) new training buddies. We’ve recently entered our “double-digit” mileage phase of training, the stage when I question my decision to run any distance beyond three miles. I anticipate this uncertainty during every training block and remind myself that not only am I capable, but I’ll also improve my performance and enjoy my training if I mentally playback all the good that can happen rather than the negative “what if’s.” In short, I let my brain “run the good” (haha, see what I did there?).

I also recently wrapped filming and postproduction for the Expand with Tasha 10-day challenge! I’m most excited about this update because 1) I get to share new content with the FB community and 2) it’s a full circle moment that allows me to offer you some insight into the progression of my trainer series:

  1. Level Up with Tasha (5-day challenge)
  2. Faster with Tasha (5-day challenge)
  3. Build with Tasha (10-day challenge)
  4. Powerful with Tasha (10-day challenge)
  5. Expand with Tasha (10-day challenge) - RELEASED TODAY

Let’s peek inside my brain for a moment. I’m a “whole-to-parts” thinker. I LOVE breaking down long-term program design and development into shorter chunks of programming. The concepts, objectives, and structure for Expand with Tasha were developed a few years ago (some bits were just floating around in my head, but I took notes on the bulk of it, haha). I knew the training destination; I just needed to figure out the roadmap to coaching you there.  So, I embarked on a multi-year journey of creating 5- and 10-day trainer series that would be solid standalone training options but also serve as steppingstones towards this fifth challenge in a 5-series bundle.

I intended the 5-series bundle to be completed in the order listed above; however, each challenge includes a high percentage of modifiable elements to make them accessible to as many folks as possible, serve as great standalone cycles of training, and provide easy benchmarking tools to track inter- and intra-challenge progress (improvements from one trainer series to the next as well as progress made from repeating multiple cycles of one trainer series). They’re short-duration, stackable cycles of training that can summate to roughly 1.5-to-3 months of training depending on how you deload/recover between each trainer series. They also connect to themes, formats, and exercise sequences found in my non-programmatic content so that you can intuitively pair standalone workout releases with challenge/program content. Ok, we’re traveling really far into the depths of my brain, let’s take a step back. That was a bit much even for me, lol.

Expand with Tasha came to fruition earlier this year when I jokingly coined it “the program that no one asked for.” I told my FB teammates that I needed to pause all other work to put pen-to-paper on the ideas that were spilling out of my brain. I wrote the challenge six months before I recorded the videos for it and during those six months, I started developing ideas for “spin-offs,” cycles of similarly/non-similarly themed programming, and several other “big picture” programming developments. Basically, my brain is always creating, connecting, and breaking down patterns, progressions, and themes. I guess that’s why long-distance running works for me even though it can be a pain point – the result is rewarding but I more so enjoy the process of figuring out how to get there. Sorry, we got sucked right back into my brain’s theatrics for a bit!

What’s next for me? I’m excitedly doing some end of 2025/beginning of 2026 planning! No worries, you’ll hear about these details soon enough (full transparency, that sentence was typed with a smirk).

Feel free to share your own personal updates below as well as your thoughts on my trainer series bundle! Next up: some insight into Nicole’s prep and planning for our newest trainer collaboration, our Trainer Talk Podcast.

See you on the screen,
