We’re Halfway Through the Expand with Tasha 10-Day Challenge!
Good morning FB Family!
If you’re participating in the Expand with Tasha 10-day challenge, congratulations on making it halfway through these physically and mentally tough workouts! Although many of us have goals of lifting heavier weights and improving cardiovascular fitness, it’s easy to get bogged down in metrics and forget how much progress we’ve made in other areas of fitness that aren’t as easily measurable as these physical feats.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed from data overload, take a break from tracking your metrics and track your consistency. One of my favorite ways to do this is to place a marble in a jar for every time I engage in intentional movement. This movement could be anything from strolling around the neighborhood with the pugs, stretching while watching tv, or running six miles – it all counts, it all receives a marble! I collect my marbles for as long or short a time as I want to and then return to tracking some metrics once my brain feels decluttered from all the pressure to track all the metrics all the time. It’s fun and I love looking at the many marbles I’ve collected knowing that they each represent a time when I chose to take care of my body (and mind).
Back to the challenge! I bet you’re wondering what’s in store for the second week. Week #2 mirrors Week #1 but the workouts are a smidge more challenging:
Day 6: Lower Body Strength EMOMs [Level 5]
Day 7: Upper Body Strength EMOMs [Level 5]
Day 8: Cardio & Yoga Active Recovery + Weighted Core [Level 4]
Day 9: Bodyweight HIIT & Cardio Circuits [Level 4]
Day 10: Total Body Strength-Power Sandwich Circuits [Level 5]
Don’t feel scared of those level 5 workouts! Although the formatting/structure of these workouts is more advanced in nature, every workout is scalable with modifications and exercise alternatives. And you can always pause me on the screen whenever you want. Or fast-forward, haha.
Let me know your favorite workout thus far in the comment section below!
