How do people choose their next program?

Hi,

I was wondering how people tend to choose their next programs. I hate coming to the end because I never know what to do next. For instance, I just finished the first strength one. Would it be smart to go into another one like that or would it better to maybe focus on cardio more for a month? Or is it purely personal preference? Just curious how other people choose their next programs!
