New Program! 6-Week Program Designed for Training During Perimenopause & Menopause
Good morning FB Family!
Exciting news – our newest program is 6 weeks of a uniquely formatted mix of strength training, Pilates, HIIT, active recovery, rest, and mental exercises:
Although created with those experiencing the physical/mental changes associated with perimenopause/menopause in mind, this program is appropriate for anyone seeking a training reset. Why 6 weeks? The typical microcycle is a week (7days), but we expand this cycle to 10-11 days in this program to allow for varying intensities of active recovery, rest, and mobility training between more challenging bouts of exercise (4 microcycles = 6 weeks). This increase in training cycle length allows you to work hard, recover hard, and collect your own data points to determine which small programming tweaks and mental shifts work best for you during a potentially unpredictable stage of life (whether that be perimenopause, menopause, or any other highly stressful phase of life).
It’s very easy to think that huge training overhauls are needed to help you feel back on track with your physical/mental state; however, small, incremental shifts are key to long-term success, ensuring that the process is enjoyable, and allowing you to practice feedback not judgment as you determine what truly works for you during various stages of life. Remember – although many of us will share plenty of commonalities during our journeys, each journey has just as many unique qualities. Patience and an openness to trying new approaches will help you learn which practices, training methods, and mental skillsets best resonate with you on your own personal journey.
