I have been working out with FB since 2015, some years with more frequency than others. In the first years, I built some muscle, increasing my weight from 53 kg to 60 kg. At that moment I felt great, in the best shape I have ever been, However, in the recent years I gained weight (not muscle this time haha) for different reasons such as discontinuity in training and less control with the food and today I weight 70 kg.
I would like to reduce it and I am commited to do it. I have been working out two weeks with a FB programme and keeping my eating habits clean while reducing my calorie intake. However, after these two weeks, my weight has increased by 1 kg.
I know that I should not focus on what is in my scale because it could mean a lot of things but I feel discouraged when I see my weight going up. I also know that maybe is too soon and that I should let more time pass. But does anybody know why weight may go up when working out and reducing calorie intake?
Sorry if my english is not great, it is not my mother tongue.
Weight gain after starting to work out
Hi there!
