Are the strength programs good to build muscle?

Sorry this might sound like a stupid question but I’ve been seeing online a lot lately that in order to build muscle you need to be doing at least 3 sets of 8-10 reps etc… one thing I’ve noticed with a lot of these videos is that sometimes it’s more of a 10 exercises then repeat or going through a set with no repeated exercises. Is this still a good way to build muscle? I don’t know if if doing the right thing with these? Most of the videos here are kind of in that format.
