Surgery prep

Hey gang! I've been working out with FB on and off for many years. I am preparing to have surgery on my hip in January to repair a deformity that's apparently been there since puberty (!). I've been doing the original Low Impact program to get in the best shape I can so I can heal quickly afterward. I will be on crutches for 3 weeks after the surgery so I bought some to go ahead and become proficient at using them. Guess what? My pear-shaped body is not ready at all for crutches! So today I'm switching to the Flex program to build my upper body strength! I have huge muscles in my booty and thighs and my little tiny upper body is like ma'am, no :D Just wanted to drop a hint to anyone else who has to plan for crutches at some point, build those guns!
