Day 1: Lower Body Strength with HIIT Cardio (with Low Impact Mods)

This workout is an all-standing workout following a Tabata format, we will hone in on the lower body for day 1 as we see a blend of strength training and HIIT cardio. After a built-in warm-up, we will travel through several exercises (each completed 3x) to build strength, endurance, and cardiovascular function.

You’ll be able to harness your versatility as we switch focus from slow and steady strength intervals to faster-paced cardio-intensive intervals. There will be low-impact modifications shared and you’re always welcome to further adjust your perceived difficulty with the weights you choose to use (strength) and your pacing (cardio).

Due to the formatting and dynamic exercises included, it felt very efficient and kept me on my toes! Our time together brought us to an important theme that’s always worth remembering but especially at the beginning of the year: don’t expect perfectionism or let it get the best of you!
