Stretch Vs Reach for splits

Hi,

I've always dreamed of being able to do the splits and I have finally decided to actually work on it. I was wondering whether the stretch or reach challenge would help me with that goal or if I should look up stretching tutorials especially for splits?

Did anyone do either of the challenges and can tell me if there's a focus especially on lower body stretches (I'm guessing those are more important for my goal)?
