New Plus Workout: Total Body Stability Training with Sliding Discs

Our Lower Body Corrective Circuit with sliders was a success, so we thought it was time for an encore. Today’s workout builds upon those principles: 

Total Body Stability Training with Sliding Discs

Sliding discs are a unique challenge to our stability and super easy to incorporate in any routine. In this workout, we’ll complete two circuits with different placement of the discs to prevent boredom and add a little spice. Focus on muscle activation and thoroughness of each movement to get the most out of your efforts. 

We get it — sliding discs are not usually a part of everyone’s home gym equipment list. However, don’t that deter you from trying today’s workout. Instead, use makeshift discs out of washcloths, magazines, or socks. We’ve also heard that paper plates work well, too! 

This routine was inspired by some recent Pilates work that I have come across in my personal workouts. There are so many reasons to love Pilates, and it is an effective complement to any strength training regime.
