Need to hear your thoughts

I am kind of on and off on working out, I used couple of FB videos but the thing is while I am doing an effort while doing these videos .. I don't feel that I did a real work .. and what puzzled me .. I never felt sore muscle next morning or day after working out, I want to lose weight and I've been on the low calories diet for years and I want to fix that by working out, but always get discouraged when I don't feel sore muscle or not tired after finishing the working out. thought of doing two videos at the same day but I am on a very busy schedule.
