How Do You Count Reps?

Hi all,

I've always smiled when Kelly and Kayla talk about losing count of reps. I had never really thought anymore about it until a friend of mine and I were discussing how we counted reps and it was quite different.

I count one of two ways: 1) multiples of the number I want to do (1-2-3, 2-2-3, up to the number or more commonly 2) backwards...I like know the end is getting nearer.

My friend starts at 1 and counts up because "how will know how many you've done?"

So, how do you count?

Do you lose track or get distracted?
