New Plus Workout: Beginner-Friendly Foundational Moves for Pistol Squats

Hey, Blenders!

Want to learn how to do a full pistol squat? Join me as we bring it back to the basics with today’s release:

Foundational Moves for Pistol Squats: Beginner-Friendly Lower Body Corrective

While this routine gives you the basic tools you need to perform full pistol squats, it is also useful for nearly every compound exercise involving the lower body. Those of you who struggle with squats, deadlifts, or lunges will also benefit from doing today’s workout release.

But what is it about the pistol squat that makes it so challenging to conquer? Well, for starters, they require a ton of strength, balance, and mobility as well as coordination and body awareness. Pistol squats engage more than six different muscle groups in addition to your glutes and hamstrings. That’s a lot of power required for one exercise!

This release is one of many in our first mini-series on pistol squat basics. It contains technique-specific and supportive exercises that should be mastered before moving on the next video. Best of luck, and we can’t wait to hear about your progress!
