2 week Pilates Challenge Questions

Hi! I am about midway through the Pilates 2 week challenge. Pilates is really growing on me, but I struggle with a few things and I am wondering if any of you do and what you do to adapt. 1) my neck is usually bothered pretty quickly when I have to hold my head and neck up for multiple exercises and for longer than a few seconds. 2) my hips: they seem to cramp up, or is it a burn? Not sure, but man it hurts. Is this a sign of weak or tight hips? How do you adapt?
