New FB Plus Workout: Knee-Friendly Lower Body Pure Strength with Bands and Weights

Dear Blenders -

We put on our creative hats to bring you this latest release:

Knee-Friendly Strength Workout with Bands and Weights

Now, you may be wondering why designing a lower body strength routine can be a challenge. Generally speaking, most strength workouts do not require much thought. However, for this routine, we wanted to create something that is kind on grumpy knees without sacrificing strength gains. Challenge accepted!

The workout you’re about to try contains different methods of strength training to target the lower body. Training with resistance bands is a simple yet effective way to gain strength without aggravating your knee joints. Working with free weights helps you develop agile strength and improves the health of your muscle tissue. The key to combining these forms of strength training is positioning and elevation, especially when it comes to grumpy knees.

There are a few necessary pieces of equipment, and you’ll understand how they affect your workout as you move through the video. Depending on the cause of your knee pain, every exercise performed during this routine may not suit your needs. For example, people with meniscus problems may struggle with lunges but excel with bench-assisted pistol squats. If an exercise is problematic for you, drop the weight and practice using a depth that is comfortable to you.

Not currently struggling with knee problems? Bulletproof your knees now with workouts that strengthen your hip muscles and improve your lower body proprioception. I offer a few suggestions for complementary workouts in the Write-Up so be sure to check those out, too.

Looking forward to hearing about your experiences and wins with this workout. See you on screen!
