New FB Plus Workout: Gentle Yoga For Stress-Reduction

Marina and I are delighted to share our first beginner-friendly collaboration: 

Yoga For Stress Reduction: Beginner-Friendly Poses and Gentle Stretches

This 25-minute practice serves several purposes. It is ideal for new students who are unfamiliar with yoga terminology, poses, and flows that are frequently seen in yoga practice. The positions included in this routine are meant to inspire stress reduction, awareness, and intention when it comes to movement and breathing patterns. Lastly, the gentle nature of our practice can reduce blood pressure and heart rate after a particularly stressful day at home or work. 

My first attempt at yoga was clumsy, awkward, and uncomfortable. I felt very little “buy-in” and put minimal effort into connecting my breath with movement. It took several tries before I could understand the value of yoga and its effects on my physical and mental wellness. The reason I share this is because, for some of you, this story may resonate with your thoughts towards yoga practice. If so, we invite you to try again with an open mindset and honor the process.
