Alternating weeks of Abs R2 & Mass?

During the sale, Abs R2 and Mass were picked up, having had positive experiences w/ both the Abs and Mass 2 week challenges.

While core is still the weakest area and definitely needs to be focused on more than 1/week, it is also helpful to have LB and UB 2/week, which of course can be total body workouts, but has been more effective when they are separately targeted on different days.

So, the idea came up to do both Abs R2 and Mass in a 2 months, but alternating weeks between programs - doing Abs R2 on weeks 1/3/5/7 and Mass on weeks 2/4/6/8. That way at least every other week core gets the spotlight 3xs/week and every other week UB/LB both get 2-3 separate workout days.

Has anyone done 2 different programs by alternating weeks between programs? If so, did you find it to be a good experience or was it not so good?
