weak knees

Hi there!

I am about to start week 5 of an 8week toningFB program.

I've noticed though that my knees are extremely week, and with all the lunges and squats I've been doing, daily activities such as walking up and down stairs and sitting are starting to hurt. My guess is that my form on the squats hasn't been perfect, plus I have weak muscles.

I've also had to take the last week off now as I've had the worst cold. At least this gave my knees a nice break and they're starting to feel better.

Gonna start back the program tomorrow. I know I have to avoid jumps and go with low impact modifications, but should I be doing shallow squats and lunges? Are there any other exercises I can replace those with?

Basically: what's the best course of action and exercises someone with weak and painful knees can do?

I really wanna keep going with the program, it's made me feel so much stronger and more energized! but I don't want my 'injury' to get worse.
