Trying something new

Hi! I am a 17 yr old lady and about to go into college in the next year and I wanted to make a change in my life, a healthier one. I've always disliked physical things but I've recently been hit with the desire to be fit and strong (to lift and twirl my girlfriend) and healthier.

for someone who has never done anything physical, other than soccer when I was like seven, how would y'all recommend I make a start? :}
