Does mixing up the order of the exercises in the workout retract from it's benefit?

This is a question about the workouts that have both HIIT/cardio and strength training/weights at different intervals in the same workout: I do the cardio/HIIT/no equipment portions all together in my room and then the strength training portions all together in my apartment gym. Is it okay to mix up the order such that I do all the HIIT in the routines together and then go there to do all the strength training of a particular routine? The gym here is small and I can't do HIIT in it comfortably without getting in peoples' way! Does the order of the exercises and the inevitable 10 minute gap between the HIIT and strength workout portions retract from the benefit of the workout?

Haven't bought my own weights yet because I've been moving around a lot.
