Weekend Reminder—Challenge Yourself, but Respectfully!

When it comes to exercise, don’t compare yourself to others; don’t let negative thoughts creep in and question your abilities or efforts. If you’re working out, that’s already a win. If what you’re doing is challenging to you, then it is challenging. Period.

Let’s say that again—the only thing that matters is that it’s challenging to YOU.

Don’t get stuck thinking that you should be able to do more, go longer, lift heavier. Instead, give yourself some encouragement - you are moving, exercising, challenging yourself! And, yes, rest days absolutely count; active recovery days absolutely count, lower intensity days absolutely count.

You’re in this for the long haul, so balance and compassion for yourself (and your body) are key.

If you’re looking for ways to challenge yourself today, we’ve got you covered. Low impact to HIIT. Stretching to intense cardio. Shorter duration to higher duration.

And if you’re looking for some great recipes this weekend, we’ve got you covered there too. Two new recipes from this week:
