Pilates and a pain in the …

I did an hour long pilates workout on Sunday and I think I must have gone to my happy place a bit too much because I hurt my left glute 😢 At first I thought my muscles were simply sore from the workout and I even did a HIIT workout on Monday thinking it’ll help loosen it up, but it’s Thursday now and the pain is still there.

The workout in question was https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/pilates-abs-butt-and-thigh-workout-pilates-workout-for-lower-body-and-core

I know what you’re thinking: “Pilates injury? Seriously?” Because that’s what I’m thinking as well 😂

I’m not sure whether to go to physio with it or what, because it doesn’t hurt all the time - I can stand on my left leg and it’s fine, as long as I stand up straight. As soon as I lean forward and then start straightening up, piercing pain shoots under my buttock 😕

Have you ever pulled or strained a glute, and if so, how long was it before the pain went away?
