Remove or work around optional recovery?

I am currently working out four days a week, M, T, Th, F, and occasionally doing an extra workout (like a new routine) or stretching/yoga on the weekend. Scheduling this was easy with the Abs program, since there is no optional recovery day built in. However, I am planning my next program and want to stick the same schedule, and not being able to remove the optional recovery or schedule workouts on the same day is getting in the way. Ideally, I would like to keep the optional recovery day on the weekend, in case I decide to do it, but I would like to keep the regular workout days on my four day/week schedule.

I know I could opt to do Adventure or XT without this being a problem, but I wanted to try Blend or Complete next. Does anyone have a workaround for this that I am missing? I hope we can eventually have the option to choose our workout days in the calendar without this being an issue.
