Question related to muscle toning and strength

Hello everybody,

I am currently finishing the FB complete program that I have been thoroughly enjoying. For the first time, I am also using weights on a more regular and organized way, however I don't have a set of adjustable dumbells, so I keep using the same amount of weight or slightly heavier with the addition of some household items I find available.

My question is: can I sustain a good toning routine with the same set of dumbells? Or is it still advised to increase the weight lifted to keep increasing the definition of the muscle?

I am not interested in mass building.
