Fitness Blender family,
As you know by now, we love to include strength training in our routines. The efficacy of lifting is proven when it comes to weight loss/maintenance, and (of course) when it comes to being more functionally fit.
However, if you haven’t lifted before, it can be a bit intimidating, and even confusing when it comes to choosing what weights to lift for various exercises.
A great general rule of thumb when you’re just starting out (but definitely a rule we always remind ourselves of) is to lift lighter weights and really focus on form, balance, and range of motion, especially until you’re more confident.
