Did I push myself hard enough during a workout if I'm not sore the next day?

Hello fellow Blenders !

Well everything is in the title. Do you have insight about this ?

I used to believe that soreness was actually a sign of bad stretching/not enough drinking/exercising above your level/training your muscles in a completely new way. Then this opinion partly changed when I read about how muscle soreness is a sign of light muscle tissue rupture which is necessary to build muscle mass. But sometimes I'm just not sore the next day, despite what Kelli and Daniel say during the video (along the lines of "you're going to be nice and sore tomorrow"). Did I not push myself hard enough on those days ?

Thank you for your advice/experience sharing !

Edit: Well that 1000 calories workout certainly solved my problem !
