Working out while on period

I've always found myself at a stand still when I am on my period and what workouts to do. I guess I'm afraid of increasing flow..its bad enough as it is. LOL!... I say to myself this month will be different and I will workout but I find myself chickening out and basically give myself the 5-6 days off. What workouts do you ladies do/recommend ?
