Exercises that combine lower and upper body....

I am struggling with workouts that combine lower and upper body at the same time. As an example: reverse lunge with a curl, squat to overhead press, etc. I feel that I cannot concentrate on good solid form for either while also lifting as heavy as I could. I struggle a lot with single leg lower body exercises such as lunges because I need to build strength, coordination, balance and core strength so I feel that adding say a curl or overhead press throws that off even more.

Does anyone else experience this? I am currently on week 3 of FB Strong and there are several of these workouts this week.
