Stretching and Yoga Before Bed

I have had trouble sleeping for the last few years or so, and I've been thinking about adding about 15-20 minutes of yoga and/or stretching (FB vids, of course) about half hour to an hour before I go to bed to help relax before I try to sleep.

Has anyone else tried this? Does it work? Does it make you more alert or relaxed?
