Stretching in the morning and doing HIIT/strength training in the afternoon?

Does any one of you know if stretching first thing in the morning (static stretches for 30 mins or so, using FB Reach for example) and doing more vigorous training at the end of the day (HIIT, Strength, Kickboxing,...) is detrimental? Since we are not supposed to do static stretches before a workout I was just wondering. Thanks for any comments!
