Daily Check-in: Wednesday, August 21st

Hello Blenders, and Happy Half-way Point to you all!

How're we doin today, guys? How's your week goin so far?

How're your workouts treatin ya?

And how's the weather in your part of the world?

Hopefully everything is on the up-and-up for you and treatin you right!

It's been busy, but good here. We've also been having really lovely sunny weather (this morning's the exception with extremely dense fog), not too warm, not too humid--just really enjoyable. It's been making yard work, gardening, and adventuring with Furry Trainers even more fun than usual!

So today's random pic: a Blue-eyed Darner dragonfly! He was just chillin on this branch, enjoying the sunshine, lookin pretty as he was doin it!

Ok, now: how about them workouts, Blenders? Is it a workout day, or rest day for you?

Even though yesterday was busy, I still managed to get my kickboxing and upper body routine yesterday! Yay for 30 minute workouts--man are they a life saver on those hectic days!

So for today, it's a core day! I'm feeling like I want something a bit more challenging, so I'm going to give this HIIT and core combo a go: https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/dynamic-total-body-hiit-and-core-workout It's been a while since I've done it, but I know it's kicked my butt every time I've tried it! I mean, you know it's a good workout when the thumbnail shows Daniel drenched in sweat! haha. I also really like the burpees with pushups. They're kinda fun in their own way.

And how about some of that good food to refuel our workouts today? What's on the menu Blenders?

I'm really not sure yet. But we might make some pesto tonight with a bunch of the basil from our garden. Add a bit of chicken, pasta, and tomatoes--and, um, yeah. That sounds too good not to! haha.
