recommendations for substituting pullover palms up

There are some videos I really like that have the "pullover palms up" exercise, and for some reason I cannot do this exercise. Even without weight. My L shoulder spazzes out, seizes up, gives out. It feels like a muscle is being pulled out of place. So I'm wondering... does anyone have a substitution recommendation for this exercise? I love doing the split workouts, and this one is part of them.
