FB30 HIIT Substitute during Ankle Sprain Recovery

I recently suffered a hefty ankle sprain while hiking (swelling, bruising, pain, weakness, etc.). This was right in the middle of FB30 v4, too!

I've been RICEing for about a week, and today did one of FB30's upper body days. Felt good.

The pain in the ankle has gone down a lot, and I feel like I should be okay doing low-impact more "static" stuff (strength training), but HIIT's such an important part of exercise for me... And it's the absolute worst thing I can do if I want to avoid severely aggravating my injury. All it would take is my foot catching the carpet during a lateral jump and I might find myself in the hospital.

Any suggestions?
