Exercising and injuries!

Hey everyone! I am not really experienced when it comes to exercising regularly; this week I am doing the 5 day Strong and Lean challenge to get back into things! However, last night, my knee popped out of place due to a past injury and is a little sore today. I'm supposed to do Day 3 today, which focuses on your core! Should I make today a rest day, or should I try to do Day 3's workout with modified movements? I just don't want to make anything worse! Thanks for your help
