Adapting floor workouts when you cannot lift yourself

I have severe difficulties doing any workouts that require laying on the floor and lifting all or part of my body (push ups are the simplest example I can think of right now though I know how to adapt those).

What are some good ways to adapt these? I know that the more I do them the better at them I’ll be but if I’m doing a workout that is heavy on them then I end up laying on the floor feeling like a depressed beached whale.
