Workouts and fertility

Hi, my beautiful friends!

Not sure if someone here knows about this stuff but I think this is a good place to start. I plan on trying to get pregnant via intrauterine insemination at some point this year. Most likely, I will make my first attempt in August. I'd like to use these next three months to prepare my body and get as healthy as possible in order to increase the chances of my IUI being a success.

I know a big part of this will be working out and keeping myself active, but I've come across many sources with contradicting information as to how to best workout in order to improve fertility. Some sources indicate that it's better to just stick to hiking, swimming and overall low impact cardio, while others say it's okay to continue with strength training in moderation (and in this sense, I feel like all the FB workout plans are pretty moderate). I'm just really confused about this. If someone here knows anything about fertility and exercise and is willing to share, I'd be super appreciative.
