Do I need to run to lose weight or are these workouts enough?

I am a huge fan of FB and have been doing it a long time. I tend to do FB Booty, FB Fit, and the Sweat programs bc it's a nice mix of strength and cardio. Lately I've put on some weight (even though I religiously workout with FB every day) and my friends are telling me I should run more. I really don't like running, as I have a trick knee but am wondering if perhaps more cardio would make a difference to weight loss. If so, which FB workouts are the best for cardio and how often should I do it? Would appreciate any tips.
