best program for weight loss

Hi guys i know how important nutrition is for weight loss but I need advice on which workout program is the best for weight loss ? i am currently on week 3 of fb strong,& is strength training good for weight loss?i prefer it over cardio! (my diet has not been that clean i.e. twice per week i indulge in a meal or dessert .but i guess the indulgence frequency should go down !
