Working out 1 hour and eating a lot vs. Working out 30 minutes & moderate eating.

Curious to know which approach you guys follow.

---Personally, I had more results working out 60/90 minutes per day and eating around 2700 calories compared to WO for 30/45 minutes and eating 2200ish.

The results weren't only related to physique, but how my body felt and functioned in general, after increasing my WO time and food intake; I had way more energy, better sense of well-being and better sleep etc. I'm guessing it might be due to the increased intake of micro-nutrients? I don't really know, but would be exciting if you guys shared your approach with us.
